What’s Blue Certified?

Like we mentioned before, there are two levels of certification in the Ford Blue Advantage program. The first is Blue Certified. This applies to any make and model nine model years or newer and with less than 120,000 miles on the odometer.

Then, the car must undergo a strict 139-point inspection where various interior, exterior, and engine components are put to the test and replaced if they don’t meet this program’s standards.

What’s Gold Certified?

If you’re searching instead for a Ford model, you’ll love what Gold Certified has to offer. This program is for any Ford car, SUV, or truck (up to the 350 series) that’s five model years or newer and has less than 80,000 miles on the odometer.

The selection process for this certification level is also slightly more meticulous, with its 172-point inspection. However, the process is the same with new parts being used to replace parts that don’t pass the test.
